January 2nd of 2026… I am at a crafting retreat this weekend, so that I can use this first weekend of the year to reflect, reset, plan and prepare. I’ll be sharing some of this process with you all. Up early this morning for the reflection part…
PROFESSIONAL
1️⃣ 2025 Goals
2️⃣ 2025 Accomplishments
3️⃣ 2025 Surprises? Good and bad.
4️⃣ 2025 Challenges? What needs to stay, but needs improvement? What needs to be eliminated?
5️⃣ 2026 Goals (This gets incorporated into my planner and will be printed and posted on my bulletin board in my office)
PERSONAL
✅ SAME. These questions apply to my personal life, but the answers look completely different. Because I’m a scrapbooker, I will make a page in my 2026 scrapbook that will reflect 2025 on the left page and goals & dreams for 2026 on the right. I’ll share my page with you all when I’m done with it.
Part of my personal reflection this morning is thinking about my mom. We lost her exactly 3yrs ago on New Years Eve and I miss her. Those of you who have been on my crafty business journey through the years know that my mom was always a big supporter and a staple at my retreats. LOL, I used to have to start each retreat with a disclaimer that “the views & opinions of ‘certain people’ (my mom 😜) were not always the views and opinions of the establishment”… 😂😂😂. I never knew what was gonna come out of her mouth at my events, she had no filter and the older she got the more candid she got. I miss that. My mom would love the retreats we have built at Priceless Memories. She would LOVE the owner, Rita and her family. I wish she was here. But, I feel peace in my heart this morning and can feel her approval for what I have done and what I am building. This is for my mom…
I miss her so much! She & I had so much fun over the years!, We did water-arobics, shopping, scrapbooking….And yes, she would have truly loved the retreats at Priceless Memories!
She was a great lady!
